If you would rather take the easy way out and save a few bucks you can use a propane grill that can run off a basic 10 lb propane tank. It is also possible to use your common roll-around grill and build the counter around it so you can just slide your grill in and out. This option would save money on purchasing an actual “built-in grill”.

You can add several different features to an outdoor living area to really give your back yard a cozy warm feeling. Many times the grill area is partially shaded by a Pergola. These are usually made out of wood and stained or can be maintenance free vinyl. Another added accent is pillars that frame the area.

Don’t forget about outdoor lighting. The tops of the pillars are a common place to put lights, under counter lighting at the grill area and landscape lighting that can showcase plantings or trees.
